Larry Berkelhamer

Mr. Berkelhamer was one of a kind. I remember when Bob and I would accompany Mr. B. picking up the quarters from his pinball machines. He was always very kind and treated me like one of the family. He will be missed and may his memory forever be a blessing.

We knew Larry only a short time during his stay at the Lincolnwood Place. We shared
our experiences during the ” Battle of the Bulge”and enjoyed many meals together.We
really miss him and his humor.

I have many great memories of Larry, LaVerne and their four kids going back to when I was just a child. Of course, the greatest memory of all was and will be Larry’s Donald Dick impersonation and the times I would see them at the apartment on Pratt when I was visiting my grandparents who lived across the hall. Although I was related to Larry through marriage only, he was as much a part of my extended family as those who were related by blood. Despite Larry’s many long years of life and time with us all, it is never enough and he will be sorely missed.
